Scientists Are Finding A Lot More Earth-Like Planets

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Scientists have just announced the discovery of 32 “exoplanets”. The sizes range between 5x Earth and 5-10x Jupiter. (an exoplanet is a planet outside our solar system orbiting a star that is not the Sun)

They’re using exceptionally powerful gear to find these previously unseen planets. Space nerds are extremely excited because it suggests there are many more of these planets within our galaxy. All odds say there should be loads of them.

All I can say, is that I hope we find Earth 2 before I die. That would be truly sweet. A moon base would be nice too.
