Shaving My Head For The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation

If you’ve read this message a million times already I apologise. (I’ve made note of it here, here, here and on Twitter)

I’m participating in the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation’s yearly fund raising event called “Shave for a cure”. I’m shaving my melon and suckering my mates into coughing up some dough.

I’m dedicating the money I raise to a gentleman who lives with leukaemia by the name of Ian Gillespie, the grandfather of my friend Hanan Pillette AKA PaintedDeath.

Leukaemia is a condition that truly destroys people.

If you’ve got a couple of bucks to spare for a noble cause – please consider donating:

TL;DR VERSION: long story short I’m raising money for the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation. They don’t get any government funding and do great work for those in need – please help out: http://www.shaveforacure.co.nz/view_event_profile/2210

Cheers guys, much appreciated.

While I am a huge fan of you trying to do something for cancer (serious props to you and all that) the whole "shaving my head for cancer" thing never really made sense for me. See the thing to do that I was thought made the most sense would be to grow your hair. You suffer the same humiliation of having a silly socially unacceptable hairstyle AND once it's at a really long length you can cut it off and donate it to those people who make real human hair wigs that get given to the cancer patients.

    Just my two cents?
