If Atheists Ruled the World

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

This is a humorous ‘mockery’ of Atheists, apparently derived from content taken from a ‘forum’.

As we all know, forums are very, very serious business.

Note: contains a little harsh language.

Mass Effect 2 – Video Recorded Alpha Footage

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

This is apparently heading out the door next year for anyone who is a Mass Effect fan!

Casio Exilim FC-100 – Slow Motion Video 2

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

We reported on this great little camera a few weeks back. Joaquin’s just pointed me in the direction of the second installment of slow-motion goodness – and here it is:

Here is the CrunchGear review of the camera. They loved it.

Left 4 Dead – Competitive Gameplay Video

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

I know a lot of you don’t have Left 4 Dead – and that’s a real shame if FPS is your thing.

Here is a cool video showing some of the action. A pity about the choice of music though!

Did You Know – A Statistical Video

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

This is an old video which has apparently been re-released. I’d never see it, perhaps you hadn’t either.

Some very interesting statistics (although not cited, of course!)

Adobe AIR Applications – Things To Save Time

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

This right here is a top notch list from Smashing Apps detailing cool AIR applications which perform very helpful tasks.

Here are some of the things on the list:

  • An image resizer with a batch function for resizing folders worth of images.
  • A web cutting tool used to cut images from the web and save them quickly
  • A drag-and-drop interface to Flickr
  • A snapshot tool which takes a URL and returns a full page image

Top stuff!

12 Geeky High Tech Shoes

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Would you like a shoe that fits itself to your foot when you run, walk or jog?

How about a shoe that transforms into a Transformer? Or a shoe with a light that keeps you safe during the night and charges itself?

I’d love some, if I thought I could get away with it!

Small Plastic Figurine – A Cool Flash Animation

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

Bored? How about you eat this small plastic figurine – what’s the worst that could happen?

A very cool display of artistic prowess, and the voice overs even sound Australian!

CryENGINE3

Monday, March 30th, 2009

This beast now runs on PC, PS3 and 360 – rather than just on the PC (which was the main goal).

Instead of focusing on crazy features for the absolute top end of video card hardware, they’ve decided to aim for the mainstream (that being consoles and average joe PC’s).

This means it doesn’t look that much better than CryENGINE2, but will do the business on far meeker hardware. (at least that’s the idea)

The Duke Is Back

Monday, March 30th, 2009

I’m not even kidding, well – sort of.

There is a nation wide search (in the US, or you can send in a video) to find a real life Duke. That’s right – Deep Silver and Apogee Software are looking for someone to be the Duke.

This person will be paid to travel the world promoting the franchise.

Zombie Hooker Nightmare

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Don’t ask me how I find these things, honestly.

This has got to be one of the most novel idea’s for a flash game I’ve seen all month.

You play a zombie working girl, and have to make enough money to ’survive’ the night.

Certainly not for the sheltered or weak of heart!
